Q. How can I be sure that I am selling to Pharmacists or buying
from either Pharmacists or Pharmacy Industry Professionals?
A. Only Retail & Hospital Pharmacies, Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, Manufacturers, and
Pharmacy buying groups may apply to join Nood Network. All applicants will be thoroughly
screened before being given membership ID. The addresses you see when you buy or sell will
have been thoroughly checked also. All approved members need to log-on with a password
each time they use the network so you are in a totally secure environment. Bonefide wholesalers
& manufacturers are given a 'sell only' membership to the Network.
Q. Why are Nood Network members environmentally responsible?
A. It is estimated that OPAL Return Unwanted
Medicines Limited will collect and destroy in excess of 240 tonnes of unwanted
medicines during the year - around 20 tonnes/month! This figure only includes
medicine collected in the Opal-Rum yellow bins and sent to the Opal Rum program. Clearly,
this is environmentally unacceptable. Other medicines not collected can form toxic
waste which may be thrown out via the sewer or storm-water outlets or to become part of
landfill sites, causing damage to our waterways. One study found
the presence of pentobarbital, among many other compounds in contaminated ground
water near a landfill. Further investigation showed that the drug had been present for 21
years. The possibility of leaching of toxic substances from landfill sites into water
tables can be avoided.
Nood Network enables members to trade amongst themselves and reduce some of this
Nood stock before it becomes waste thus eliminating the need for its disposal ! The
chances are, if you're no longer using an item, then another Australian Pharmacy is using
it, and will be glad to take it off your hands.
Q. Well I sell an item, who pays for postage?
A. The seller pays for postage/freight unless stated otherwise. When you list an item for
sale the price you list is 'price delivered to the buyer'. When a member buys your item,
the member can immediately see your registered contact details, and the onus is on the
buyer to contact you. As the seller, you will also receive an automatic e-mail from Nood
Network advising you of the sale.
Q. If a member buys my items by mistake, do I have to pay any
selling fees to the Nood Network?
A. No. Simply mail the details to admin@noodnet.com and the transaction will be deleted
Q. If I use a Nood item I have listed myself do I pay any selling
fees?
A. No. Members can now fully edit or delete their listed items! Click 'user details' then 'edit your items'.
Q. Can I list an item like a cosmetics stand on the network?
A. Yes, list your Pharmacy for sale if you want. When listing such items
use an arbitrary expiry date eg Jan 2010. If you have any questions about your listing
contact us at admin@noodnet.com
Q. If an item I have listed expires do I pay any selling fees?
A. No, expired items are automatically removed from the Network without
incurring any fee
Q. If I want to sell an outer or carton quantity, how do I list
it?
A. You can use the comments field to indicate that you want members to buy in
certain quantities only. eg "Please buy in lots of 20" or "Min purchase Qty
100"
Q. I have a bulky item like nappies that I want to sell at a local level
only, how do I do this?
A. You can list this preference in the comments field when you list the item eg 'Sydney
Metro buyers only'.
Q. I want to look for an item which is available my immediate area, how
do I do this?
A. You can use the postcode field and type in your own postcode which will reveal only
those items listed by members with your postcode eg 4215. You can list a partial
postcode as well say 421 which will give you a wider search ie all members with 421
postcodes, and so on.
Q. What happens when I buy an item?
A. The details of the seller are immediately revealed to you, and the onus is on you
to contact the seller by phone or e-mail ASAP and arrange between yourselves for transport
& payment of the item. It may be convenient for you as buyer to give your credit card
details to the seller over the phone if the seller is able to manually process. A
record of the transaction appears in your "purchased" file. There is no charge
for purchasing items on the network
Q. What happens when I sell an item?
A. Your details are immediately revealed to the buyer and you receive an automatic e-mail
from Nood Network advising you of the sale. It is up to the buyer to make contact with
you. We encourage that sellers dispatch 'sold' items to buyers same day if possible
and that buyers forward payment to sellers same day if possible. If you are able to
manually key a credit card transaction in your EFTPOS machine, you may consider discussing
this convenient payment option with your buyer. A record of the sale appears in your 'sold
file' and will be used to determine the Nood Network selling fee
Q. How do I pay my Nood Network fees ?
A. Members pay a commission only on items they sell. For full payment options have a look
in our Accounts section
Q. I am getting a message that I am 'logged out' or that 'my session has
expired' when I try and log in to the members section.
A. Make sure that you browser is set to accept cookies. Nood Network
uses cookies as an added security measure on the network. If your browser is set not to
accept them you may get this message. Also, members with older versions of Windows eg
3.1 may experience some login problems with the Network and should consider
upgrading their software to a latter version.
